The Saints

 The Saints Charity was set up approximately twelve months ago with the intention of raising money for local good causes,and on Saturday the 2nd of August 2008 we held our first charity golf day. The day itself was a huge success with over 120 golfers taking part and enjoying one of the few days in August when the weather was good. The golf course was in tremendous condition for the day and our thanks were passed on to the green staff who worked extremely hard to present the course at its best for all who played.The prize of a new car for a hole in one was unfortunately not won,but one or two were near.After all the players had enjoyed a delicious meal, the prize giving commenced and was followed by an auction of items donated,and to finish the day of Colin Price put on 30 minutes of light hearted entertainment. The date for the next charity day is Saturday the 12 of June 2010.
